BlackView Capital Advisors

Investment Criteria

Our Approach

BlackView invests in U.S. middle-market companies with revenue of $50M–$350M. For established and growth-oriented businesses, we generally target companies with EBITDA of $5M or more. Through our Strategic Opportunities strategy, we also consider special situations and turnaround investments that may fall outside our standard profitability criteria, including businesses undergoing operational, financial (negative EBITDA) or strategic transformation.

Situation Types

BlackView does not limit itself to a single type of investment situation. We pursue opportunities across the V.A.S.T.™ framework — wherever our combination of capital, operating capability and strategic judgment creates a differentiated path to value.

Established Businesses

Companies with durable market positions, strong underlying fundamentals and identifiable opportunities for operational improvement and growth.

Growth Situations

Businesses with demonstrated traction and a clear path to scale — where capital and operating capability can accelerate the trajectory.

Special Situations

Complex, dislocated or nontraditional transactions — carve-outs, corporate divestitures, structured capital — where complexity creates opportunity.

Turnarounds

Businesses requiring operational transformation, financial restructuring or strategic redirection — where deep operating involvement creates a path to recovery and value creation.

Sector Focus

BlackView is sector-agnostic. We invest across industries where our operating capabilities are relevant and where the V.A.S.T.™ framework identifies a compelling opportunity. We have particular sector experience in Communication Services, Healthcare, Industrials, Information Technology, Financials, Materials, and Financials.
